Trans — Browser extensions

Trans translates the text you select, or the page you are viewing, into the language you choose. You pick the languages and display mode, and can create custom prompts (for example tone or terminology) to get the translation you want.

How to use it

Select text, then click the translate icon, use the keyboard shortcut or the right-click menu.
Or click "Translate this page" to translate the whole page.
Open Settings to enter your API token, choose languages and display mode, and create custom prompts.

Requirements

Trans is for private use by a group of designated users. You need an API token issued by the operator; enter it in the extension Settings.

Where your data goes

Only when you start a translation, the extension sends the selected text (or the visible text of the page) over HTTPS to the translation API address you configured, by default api.nvnhan.wiki.

The service forwards the text to Google Gemini, through a Google AI account owned by the operating group, to produce the translation and returns the result.

Your token and settings stay in your browser only.

It does not read or send page content unless you ask for a translation.

No selling of data, no advertising or behavioral analytics.

No collection of browsing history, location, personal identifiers or payment information.

No remotely hosted code.
